A solar energy monitoring station was constructed this week on land proposed for the Hardy Hills Solar Project. The new station is located just west of County Road 50 East in Clinton County.
It is presumed the monitoring station is part of the project assessment plan and will help with energy yield prediction and help refine design elements and specifications.
The Clinton County Area Plan Commission December 10, 2020 approved a major hurdle for the Hardy Hills Solar Project near Kilmore. Invenergy of Chicago is involved in the project encompassing 1,777 acres of land near Kilmore in Clinton County.
The Hardy Hills project is located mostly in Union Township with a small part of Owen Township included.
