Monticello Chamber of Commerce Closing September 30

The Greater Monticello Chamber of Commerce and White County Visitors Bureau announced August 19 it will be closing its doors because of financial hardships brought on by the COVID-19 health emergency.

The chamber, which has maintained a presence in downtown Monticello for the last 50 years, will be closing its doors on September 30 when its fiscal year ends.

Several events such as the Frenzy on the Freeman, which was conducted on the Madam Carroll that featured a cruise, live music, dinner, silent auction and raffle; plus a golf outing in June, were cancelled due to COVID-19.
