Major Joe Mink of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has released an update on the fatal crash that happened on Friday, June 15, in the 5500 block east State Road 26 East. The driver of the vehicle information is still not known at this time. The testing by Clinton County Coroner is pending for a positive identification of the driver.
Two passengers in the vehicle were injured. They are 39-year-old Luann Reed of Marion and 11-year-old Jimmy Dehoff, also of Marion. Both are mother and child. They are still being treated for injuries at Indianapolis Hospital.
The vehicle in which the three individuals were traveling hit a tree on the north side of State Road 26 near the intersection with State Road 29 in Middlefork and caught fire. The driver was found in the vehicle and was pronounced dead by the Clinton County Coroner.
