Clinton County Republican Party Chairman Jim Moyer released the timeline for the Center Township Trustee vacancy Wednesday afternoon. It is as follows:
February 18 — Letter of resignation received.
February 24 — Notification of vacancy is mailed on this date.
March 4 — Candidates file declaration no later than this date at 10 a.m.
March 7 — Caucus held on this date at 10 a.m.
March 9 — County Clerk notified of selection on this date.
March 9 — New Center Township Trustee takes office on this date at noon.
Moyer said the caucus winner will be determined by a majority of the precincts that are at the caucus.
The Center Township Trustee position became available when Kevin Evans announced he was resigning the position to take the a position with Abilities Services Inc. in Frankfort.
