The Town of Mulberry spring cleanup will take place on April 18 for Mulberry residents to rid their households of large furniture, large appliances, carpet and padding, bagged trash, paper and cans and more.
The spring cleanup will allow residents to rid their households of large furniture, including couches, chairs, tables, mattresses, bed frames, dressers, tables, lamps, end tables and more, large appliances, including stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters, water softeners, microwaves and more, and bagged trash, paper, cans and small miscellaneous items considered “household junk.” Carpet and padding may also be picked up, but the material must be cut up into pieces under 6 feet, tied and/or bound.
Items not eligible for pickup are construction from a business, building or home, including shingles, wood panels, doors, windows, siding, bricks, conrete, drywall or any type of remodeling material, rocks, grass, dirt, tree branches and trunks, leaves, bushes, paint, oil, gas, medical waste, tires, auto parts, burn barrels or electronics, such as TVs, computers, steroes and more.
Instructions for the cleanup state that any furniture that contains fabric must be wrapped in plastic, any item over 6 feet must be cut down, compressors must be removed from freezers and refrigerators, appliances must have a tag certifying that all freon has been removed and any loose items must be tied or bagged. Loose debris left at the curbside will not be picked up.
Mulberry Residents are asked to have the items at the curb by 5 a.m. on April 18 for the service. The service will not incur an additional charge. For more information, contact TK Trash Kans at 765-447-9000.
