Mulberry Fall Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

The Mulberry Fall Festival is slated to kick off this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mulberry Centennial Park.

The fall festival is intended to sport activities for families to enjoy together, food and drinks inspired by fall flavors that have been crafted by local bakers and farmers and locally-made crafts from vendors across the Clinton County region.

“Join your friends and neighbors for a celebration of fall-themed fun,” posted the organizers, Amie Mullikin and Cortney Philpott. “Local maker-crafters and vendors can help you get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping.”

For the families in attendance, Scouts BSA Troop 3380 will be providing the community with biscuits, chili and elephant ears throughout the event as a means of giving back to the community that helps provide the scouts the experiences that they receive throughout the year. Fried Biscuits will be available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and chili and elephant ears will be available from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Hunting the Perfect Photo, LLC will also provide fall-themed portraits for families to capture the season with their loved ones.

The Mulberry Fall Festival proves to have a plethora of activities for children as well, such as games, pumpkin painting, balloon animals and much more. Games will cost $1 for a ticket or $5 for six tickets for a chance to win prizes throughout the day. Children will be invited to paint their very own pumpkin for $2.

“Bring the kids to enjoy games and have a fun time running around the playground in the falling leaves,” posted the organizers.

Attendees have been asked to park along the “U” of Centennial Park and along Madison Street near the baseball and softball diamonds to ensure that traffic does not hinder anyone’s experience.
