Interstate 65 northbound has been shut down at the 175mile-marker. Northbound at the 174 mile-marker, there is an overturned passenger car and a jack-knifed semi partially closing the interstate. A second collision occurred on the overpass at State Road 25 in Tippecanoe County where 1 semi has overturned and 2 others have jack-knifed. Vehicles traveling northbound can exit onto SR 25, but if possible, everyone should avoid the area.
Clean-up is expected to go into the late evening hours and there currently is not an estimated time the interstate will be re-opened.
If you do not need to be out traveling, please do not venture out. If you have to get out, please slow down and leave plenty of room between yourself and other motorists.
