Police Lieutenant Cesar Munoz and Sergeant Evan Hall recently completed an intense 320-hour eight-week online Supervision of Police Personnel course from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.

According to Police Chief Troy Bacon, the course provided instruction in dynamic leadership, management, planning and decision-making as well as cultural diversity, ethics and community policing.

“Sound, solid leadership training is paramount for the development of new supervisors within our department. In working to send all new and veteran supervisors to the same leadership development courses, we are able to create and implement a consistent leadership philosophy that benefits not only our department, but the community as a whole,” Bacon said.

Having already attending leadership training from the Police Executive Leadership Academy, Sergeant Joshua Ruben soon will be enrolled in the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety Supervision of Police Personnel course.
