Muriel Rose (Everman) Smith, 64, of Frankfort passed away January 7, 2020 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born October 26, 1955 in Clinton County to James and Bonnie (Ambers) Everman. She married G. Jeffrey Smith on June 13, 1974 and he survives.
A lifelong Clinton County resident, Muriel attended Frankfort Senior High School and worked for Frito-Lay in Frankfort as a packaging machine operator for 35 years, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed camping and playing on her tablet and loved her children, grandchildren, and dogs: Doug and Duke and the late Lady and Pepper. Her peaceful spirit and attitude will always be remembered.
Surviving along with her husband Jeff are her Daughter: Renae (Bill) Carson of Frankfort; Son: George “Bear” (Melissa) Smith of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Alyssa (Matt) Kanable of Forest, Dylan Carson (Rebecca McCrimmond) of Lebanon, Austin Smith (Kaytlyn Cottrell) of Frankfort, and Jaeden Faulkner of Frankfort; Great Grandson: Jackson Kanable of Forest; Sisters: Patricia (Nelson) Millikan of Frankfort, Annette Faucett of Frankfort, Cathy (Jim) Dickerson of Flora, IL, and Tina (Ronnie) Abbott of Frankfort; Sisters-in-law: Donna Everman of Frankfort and Rebecca Everman of Noblesville; Special Sister-in-law: Katie Tarr of Frankfort; as well as many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Robert and Richard Everman, brother-in-law: John Faucett, and nephew: Christopher McKinney.
Friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at the funeral home. Pastor Shan Sheridan will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
