Nancy Goyer, 80, of Rossville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Mulberry Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on April 13, 1946, in Frankfort to Harold and Beulah (Jewell) Hitch. She married Jerry Goyer on June 27, 1964, and he survives.
Nancy was a graduate of Rossville High School, class of 1964. She worked as lead custodian at Rossville School Corporation most of her years. She also worked part time for Bennet’s Flowers and Rossville Public Library. She was a member of Faith Church in Lafayette where she served in the nursery and helped teach Sunday School. She enjoyed flower gardening and reading. She was a hard-working woman that kept busy with life. But her heart was taking care of others and giving of her time to others. She lived out her faith by serving others as long as her health allowed.
Along with her husband of nearly 62 years, Nancy is survived by her children, Ross (Joni) Goyer and Rachel (Richard) Naylor; sisters, Irene Evans and Janet Emerson; grandchildren, Cassandra, Darby, Ashley, Shelby; and “adopted” grandson, Jayce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Guy and Jason Goyer; and brother, Richard Hitch.
Visitation will be held, Friday, April 24, 2026, from 2 to 4pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville. A private family service and burial will be held later.
