Nancy Carol Fife, 82, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Clinton House.
She was born August 8, 1935, in Clinton County to Glen and Ethel Sloan. Nancy was married to the late James Robert Fife, who passed away March 10, 2006.
Nancy graduated from Frankfort High School in 1953. She worked for 40 years at PR Mallory as a timekeeper. She enjoyed fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, golfing, and particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Frankfort County Club.
Surviving Nancy are her sons, Daniel R. Fife of Cutler, and Thomas C. Fife of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Dana Fife-Longenecker, Aaron Fife, Lindsay Fife, Lauren Fife, Payton Fife, and Tyler Malone; five great-grandchildren, Alexis Longenecker, Bryce Longenecker, Korben Martin, Justin Brown, Jr, and Trenton Fife; and a special cousin, Joan McIntosh of Frankfort.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, and step-brother, Charles Peters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorials in Nancy’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, American Diabetes Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association of Indiana.
