Nancy O. Gibson, 86, of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born April 4, 1932, in Frazier, Kentucky, to Everett B. and Tilda Love (Taylor) Smith.
She had worked for Green Giant and later Pillsbury in Lafayette, before working in auction sales for Slabaugh Auctions which Nancy greatly enjoyed. Nancy was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and also worked at the Eagles Lodge. She enjoyed traveling especially out West, listening to the singers in Little Nashville, and making quilts.
Surviving Nancy are her companion, Harold Stephens; children, Barb (Archie) Bayless, of Hope Hull, AL, Joan Goode (companion, Phil French), of Lebanon, Robbie (Joy) Gibson, of Delphi, Sandy Gibson (Teddy Dean), of Frankfort, Alan (Jackie) Gibson, of Frankfort, Larry (Sharon) Gibson, of Jefferson, and Darryle (Deanna) Gibson, of Lafayette; 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and several great, great grandchildren.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, four children, Leland, Kathy, Stewart, and Ruth Ann; and three siblings.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bob Bogue will officiate.
