Nancy L. Schlorch, 81, of Rossville, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Milner Healthcare in Rossville. She was born in Lafayette on February 27, 1939 to Ray W. and Edna M. (Ellis) Pope.
Nancy was a graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School. She had worked as a custodian at McCutcheon Hall at Purdue and in the cafeteria at Sunnyside school in Lafayette. Most recently she had been a home daycare provider. She was a former member of Hope Chapel Presbyterian Church in Lafayette. She was a true Elvis fan, a T.V. buff, an avid reader, and collected Santas. She loved God, loved singing, and enjoyed working with ceramics.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Danielle (husband Jim) Gulitz of Lafayette, Robin (husband Todd) Baxendale of Lovell, Wyoming, and Michelle (husband Walt) Holliman of Quitman, Arkansas; brother, Jerry Pope of Lafayette; grandchildren, Nikki, Neena, Amber, Brianna, Kristine, and Maddison; 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Shirley (Pope) Butler of Richmond, IN and one great grandchild.
Private family services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel with a live stream available at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually. Pastor Dan Reece will officiate. Entombment will follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
