The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana from 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday) to 1 p.m. Sunday. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero are possible.
The cold and wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Affected areas are Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren counties.
Use caution while driving outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat and gloves.
