A new ADA-accessible merry-go-round is being installed at Kirklin Town Park, giving children of all abilities an opportunity to play together.
Installation is currently underway, with a rubber poured-in-place (PIP) surface planned around the equipment.
The project will also include a concrete sidewalk connecting the merry-go-round to the park pavilion. The sidewalk will provide easier access for individuals using wheelchairs.
The Town of Kirklin credited Billy Walker for applying for the grant that made the project possible and the Community Foundation Serving Howard, Clinton & Carroll Counties for its support of the project.
Residents are asked to give the crew plenty of space and maintain a safe distance while installation is underway.
