New Honda Plant Expansion Plans for Production in Indiana Starting May 2028

Honda plans to expand its production in Indiana. The next-generation Civic hybrid will be manufactured at the Indiana Auto Plant starting in May 2028, with an annual output of approximately 210,000 vehicles. This decision was made to avoid potential U.S. tariffs on imports from Mexico. Additionally, production of the Honda Accord is set to transfer to the Indiana Auto Plant by 2025.

The Honda plant in Indiana, known as the Indiana Auto Plant (IAP), is located at 2755 North Michigan Avenue, Greensburg, Indiana. It spans 1,600 acres and is Honda’s seventh North American auto assembly plant.

Indiana will produce Honda Accord and Honda Civic Hybrid in Greensburg.
