The third panel conversation created by Center Township and United Way for Clinton County is going to be this Wednesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. The conversation will take place at Frankfort High School in the cafeteria.
Therapists from Wabash Valley Alliance and Howard Community Counseling Center will be our panelists, as well as doctors from IU Health and St. Elizabeth Hospital. They will talk to us about the opioid situation and the intervention services available, as well as the effects of opioids. Healthy Communities of Clinton County will share with us their work on regards to the opioid problem with QSource.
The goal of these conversations is to build community collaboration related to prevention, deterrence, and education on regards to opioids/heroin, and other drug substances prevalent in our community.
United Way for Clinton County and Center Township believe that empowering the community and bringing stakeholders together with community members can build a foundation where we can continue solving the problems that face our residents and combat them stronger than ever. The war on drugs has affected the United States for the last 50 years and has been prevalent in Clinton County for some time. Now is our time to come together, live united and work towards building a new future for our children.
