NHK Reaches Out to United Way for Volunteers

NHK has reached out to United Way to see about volunteer opportunities in the next couple of weeks.  They will be shutting down for a couple of weeks in April and if their employees volunteer they can receive pay during the shutdown. If you need volunteers here is your opportunity!  Michelle Akard is the contact and she is copied on this email.  Please reach out to her as soon as possible.  It is be something as simple as landscaping etc.

This is also a great way to network with our Industrial Park.  They completed their first annual campaign last year for United Way.

Akard sent out the following note to United Way.

I need you to provide work for 40 hours for each employee for the weeks of April 19 or April 26 or both.  Please list how many employees you can use for 40 hours and which week you want, need them.  Also, remember when making your list needed, remember some employees will not show, some employees may show first day and not come back.  However, in order for them to get full pay from NHK, they will need a signed volunteer sheet from you for 40 hours.

For example this is what I need
YMCA
Painting, carpet cleaning, general cleaning and organizing, cleaning out sheds
5 people for 40 hours week of April 19
5 people for 40 hours week of April 26

Please send me the list as soon as possible so we can roll out to our employees today.
