Nighttime Lane Closures on I-65 Begin Tonight

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces a project to widen the I-65 northbound and southbound bridges over the Wabash River will shift traffic towards the center median to allow for the contractor to strengthen the outside shoulder. Nightly lane closures will begin tonight, Wednesday, May 16. These lane closures are expected to begin after 8 p.m. and last through 7 a.m. the following morning.

The project was awarded to Superior Construction for $23.5 million. The work also included deck replacement on Swisher Road over the interstate and replacing the decks and widening both I-65 bridges over the Wabash River.
