Frankfort Fire Department units were dispatched at approximately 5:40 p.m. Thursday to a possible house fire at 902 S. Jackson St. When units arrived, smoke and flames were visible from the ‘A’ side of the residence.
Firefighters immediately began fire suppression activities and all residents made it safely out of the structure. Battalion 1 called for a second alarm and six firefighters were called in to man the city while all other FFD units were on the scene of the fire. Firefighters did a tremendous job by making a quick knock down of the fire to the attic while battling high winds.
There were no firefighter injuries reported. The fire is under investigation and more information will be released once that is complete.
