Frankfort Fire Department and Frankfort Police Department responded to a dispatch call to County Road 100 North at approximately 9:58 a.m. Monday for a traffic accident. The tanker was carrying non-hazardous waste. It rolled over and hit a utility pole off of County Road 100 North. At this time no injuries were reported. City Light and Power are on the scene replacing the pole and IDEM has been called in to take a soil sample.
Frankfort Police Department will have County Road 100 North closed until City Light and Power are finished installing the utility pole. Frankfort Fire Department will also keep an engine onsite until the clean-up has been done.
