NWS Issues High Wind Weather Statement For The Region This Afternoon Through The Evening

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement regarding high winds expected in the West Central Region and beyond this afternoon into the evening, including Clinton, Carroll and Boone counties.

The service stated that strong, gusty winds are expected today with strong southwesterly wind gusts expected from midday through the afternoon hours. Frequent gusts up to 35 to 45 miles per hour are expected with locally higher gusts possible.

The strong gusts will cause unsecured outdoor objects to be moved as well as create difficult driving conditions, particularly for high profile vehicles.
