NWS Issues Wind Advisory For Clinton, Carroll, Boone & Surrounding Region

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect until 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 19 for the region including Clinton and Boone counties.

The advisory states that the region may experience south winds ranging from 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour expected for portions of central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana.

The service stated that gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, including tree limbs that may be blown down, which could cause a few power outages.

The advisory went into effect at 11 a.m. this morning and will continue through 9 p.m. tonight, March 19.
