The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of central, east central, north central and west central Indiana, including Clinton County, until 1 a.m. Thursday. Heavy snow is possible from late tonight through late Wednesday night. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches is possible by Wednesday night.
The highest snowfall totals are near and north of a Crawfordsville to Muncie line. Surface and ground temperatures at or just above freezing may limit snowfall accumulations a bit through Wednesday afternoon before temperatures fall.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Boone, Carroll, Fountain, Hamilton, Howard, Madison, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Tipton and Warren counties.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening commute.
