The National Weather Service has announced that a winter weather advisory will be in effect from 3 p.m. this afternoon through 10 p.m. this evening with snow expected to accumulate throughout the advisory hours.
During the advisory hours, total snow accumulations up to one to two inches with wind gusts as high as 40-miles-per-hour may be expected. The service stated that visibility may be reduced below 0.5 miles at times during the flurries.
The advisory is in effect for portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast and west central Indiana.
The service stated that localized slippery road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses, may be expected as the hazardous conditions could impact this evening’s commute.
