NIPSCO has announced that the scheduled floodgate maintenance at Oakdale Dam, originally set for August 27, 2025, has been postponed until after Labor Day.
The maintenance plan included releasing 4,400 cubic feet per second (cfs) from the dam’s flood gates, requiring closure of the public area during the work. With the postponement, the public area will remain open as normal.
NIPSCO is working closely with emergency officials and will share updated scheduling details once they are finalized.
