Optimist Law Camp Scheduled for Anderson University

The 2018 Optimist Law Camp for students entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades will be held June 27-30 at Anderson University.

This four-day camp is an exciting look at the profession of law enforcement offering field trips, exciting demonstrations and motivating programs. Campers meet peers from around the state, participate in recreational activities and leave with a greater understanding of the police field. .The program includes demonstrations by Emergency Response Team Members, Bomb Squads, Underwater Search and Rescue Teams and Police Dogs.

The Frankfort Optimist Club will select and sponsor one eligible boy and one eligible girl from the applications. Applicants must be Clinton County residents and students in good standing. Applications are available by calling the Frankfort Optimist Club at 765-659-2919 and must be received by June 8. Scholarships are available from the Optimists to cover the cost of $150 per camper.

Police officers staff the co-ed camp. This Law Camp is sponsored by Optimist International, the Frankfort Optimist Club and the Indiana State Police.
