Overdose Awareness Day is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 31, at Veterans Park in downtown Frankfort. This event is sponsored by the Clinton County Ministerial Association, Newharts of Hope and Center Township of Clinton County.
In addition, there will be a free Naloxone (Narcan) Training and Distribution Kit for lay responders at the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, 259 E. Walnut St., starting at 7 p.m. This is sponsored by the Clinton County Health Department and Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition.
Schedule of events is as follows:
6-6:30 p.m. — Speakers, including local recovering individuals.
6:30 p.m. — Prayer Chain.
6:45 p.m. — Balloon Release.
7 p.m. — Narcan Training at Chamber of Commerce.
Shine 99 will be broadcasting live from 6-8 p.m. and Jay Large will be the DJ.
