On Friday, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary Taylor, 27 years old, of Lebanon, for charges of Dealing in a Controlled Substance Causing Death, a Level 1 Felony. Taylor was booked into the Boone County Jail without incident.
In February of 2023, Boone County Sheriff’s Office Investigators responded to an overdose death. The investigation led detectives to believe that Taylor was a suspect. On March 30, 2023, Taylor was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, dealing in cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, and 2 counts of possession of paraphernalia. Detectives were able to gather more information from the arrest in March to connect Taylor to the overdose death in February.
