The Mulberry Community Club has some BIG PLANS for their small town! With the help of a matching grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, the Club has accepted the challenge to raise $20,000 toward the Mulberry Mural Project. This mural, intended to beautify the town and leave a lasting impression for citizens and visitors, is spearheaded by Joyce Newton, Mulberry resident, and Lewis Wheeler, campaign manager.
Beginning August 5th, residents will be welcome to bring their lawn chairs and watch the magic happen on-site. The mural will created on the outside east wall of Sanford & Daughter, 140 E Jackson Street, Mulberry.
The artist, BK Foxx, is known world-wide for her photorealistic murals painted in only spray paint; no brushes, no projectors, no stencils. Her work can be seen at bkompleted.com.
For this project to be successful $20,000 must be raised locally to qualify for the matching funds by 11:45 PM, Sep 22, 2026. To help the Mulberry Community Club meet their goal, donations can be mailed to the Town of Mulberry, P.O. Box 250, Mulberry IN 46058. Please designate donations for the “Mulberry Mural”.
