Pair Arrested for Child Neglect at Just Be Kids Learning Center in Lebanon

On January 16,, the Lebanon Police Department received notification from a concerned parent regarding the potential exposure of their 1-year-old child to THC at the “Just Be Kids Learning Center” daycare facility in Lebanon. The parent, upon picking up their child, observed unusual behavior and promptly reported the incident to law enforcement. Subsequently, the child was transported to Peyton Manning Hospital in Indianapolis by the parent, where medical staff confirmed a positive THC test. The Lebanon Police Department promptly notified the Department of Child Services to address the allegations.

Following a thorough investigation, conducted through medical records, Lebanon Police Department detectives substantiated the positive THC test on January 16. On January 17, detectives interviewed staff members at “Just Be Kids Learning Center” daycare and discovered that the child’s teachers, Paige Wilson and Stella Latham, both residents of Lebanon, had attempted to consume an edible containing THC while in the classroom. Regrettably, part of the edible was left within the child’s reach, resulting in the child consuming a portion of it.

As a result of these findings, charges are being filed against Ms. Wilson and Ms. Latham for Neglect of a Dependent, classified as a level 6 felony. The Lebanon Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community, especially its youngest members. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
