Pamela S. Beard, 73, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home. She was born on October 19, 1947, in Frankfort, to James O. and Julia (Brittain) Zerfas. She married Michael A. Beard on September 8, 1967 at Eastside Christian Church; he survives.
Pam was a lifelong Clinton County resident, graduating from Frankfort High School in 1965. She worked side-by-side with her husband in farming from 1972-1987 before she started working outside the home. She worked for Fullerton Equipment in Frankfort and then for the Clinton County Highway Department until her retirement in 2012.
She was a member of Eastside Christian Church and attended First Christian Church in Seminole, Florida. Pam and Mike enjoyed traveling together, both with work friends, and with their children and their families. They also enjoyed spending the winter months in Cape Coral, Florida. Pam’s interests included landscaping at the home and farm, but most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving with her husband, Mike, is her son, David A. (wife Dawnna) Beard of rural Frankfort; daughter, Jennifer L. Pearson of Rossville; sister, Susan (husband William) Hampton of Lafayette; brother, Bill (wife Carla) Zerfas of Frankfort; and four “perfect” grandchildren, Elijah, Grace, Caleb, and Isaac.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Page.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Mason officiating.
