Patricia Frey

Patricia Adrienne Frey, 87, of Rossville, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Mulberry Health, Mulberry. She was born in Mulberry on June 7, 1933 to Loyal A. and Florence R. (Leeson) Dunk. She married Emmett W. Frey on May 11, 1952; he survives.

Pat was a life-long resident of Clinton County living in both Mulberry and Rossville. While in high school, Pat was a member of the Rainbow Girls Chapter of the Eastern Star and active with 4-H activities. She was a member of the Class of 1952 from Rossville High School. Pat was a farm wife and mother of five. She was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women’s group. She served as the Farm Bureau Clay Township Women’s director for 15 years and later the Carroll County Women’s director for an additional 15 years. Pat was a long time member of the Dolly Madison Homemakers Club.

Music was a passion of Pat’s. She sang in church choirs both at Rossville United Methodist Church as well as several Ft. Myers Beach area churches when she was a “snowbird” with her husband in Florida for over 40 years. She played trumpet and sang for 6 years with the Carl Craft Band. She sang in duets, trios, and community choirs for much of her life. Pat also sang with a group at the Indiana State Fair as well as performed at many weddings and funerals. Pat and her husband squared danced themselves all over the state for many years.

Pat is survived by her husband; daughters, Debra (Steve) Mulligan of Rossville, Julia (Phillip) Gable of Rossville, and Jane (Chris) Skiles of Rossville; sons, Jerry (Janice) of Rossville, and Larry (Jennifer) of Rossville; sister Lila JoAnne Edmondson; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel. A private service will begin at 1 p.m. EST with a live stream available at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually. Pastor Alan Downing will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.

In adherence to the current CDC guidelines, it is requested that guests follow the appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.
