At approximately 6:20 a.m. Saturday, the Zionsville Police Department was dispatched to a person walking in the roadway in the area of U.S. 421 near Willow Road. Units responded to the area and shortly after, located a vehicle which had been involved in an accident. During the investigation of the accident, the body of a female was located just off the roadway nearby.
The female, later identified as Dionna Scott, 42, of Indianapolis, was found to be semi-conscious with labored breathing. Zionsville Fire Department transported Scott to St. Vincent Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
