Perfect Weather For Fire And Ice

25 degrees, sunny with light winds says it all for the ideal weather at this years Frankfort Jaycees Fire and Ice Festival in downtown Frankfort.

Weather at the annual festival has been challenging in years past with drizzling rain and above freezing temps but this year better weather could not have been ordered out of a catalog.

The Frankfort Jaycees ordered almost 7 tons of Ice to decorate the square with several hand-crafted ice sculptures.  Ice carvings were created while families roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate, climbed an impressive rock wall and took in “Frozen” and “Ice Age” movies at 51 West in Downtown Frankfort.

Shine 99’s Cindy Loveless interviewed Susan Grasham with Coach Kids at a 51 West broadcast sponsored by Encompass Credit Union. Susan communicated the need for area adults and high schoolers to consider mentoring and enriching the life of a special Clinton County youngster.

Students from Clinton Prairie, Clinton Central and Rossville actively participate in the Coach Kids mentoring program.

Patty Keaton Parks didn’t want to leave you out.  Patty took pictures of some special moments at the festival.
