Phyllis M. Brooks

Phyllis M. Brooks, 93, of Attica, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the home of her granddaughter Christy. She was born in Lafayette, IN on December 31, 1927 to Clarence and Lela (Emery) Mull. She married Kenneth Brooks on March 13, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1999.

Phyllis attended Rossville High School. She was a homemaker and previous member of the United Brethren Church of Rossville. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and playing cards. She also enjoyed time outdoors fishing and flower gardening.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Samuel (Jeannie) Brooks of Attica, Dennis (Christi) Brooks and James Brooks both of Lafayette; daughter, Rosanna (Larry) Cadwalladeer of Lafayette; sister, Carolyn Lester of Peru; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Nancy Lee, daughter-in-law Michelle Brooks, brothers Jack and James Mull, sister Maxine Mitchell, and granddaughters Larissa Orem and Ravyn Brooks.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the service beginning at 1 p.m. EST at Genda Funeral Home, Mulberry Chapel. Pastor Guy Studebaker will officiate. A live stream of the service will be available at www.gendafuneralhome.com. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Cemetery.

In adherence to the current CDC guidelines, it is requested that guests follow the appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks. Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
