Points of Light Volunteer Fair Held at 51 West Event Center: VIDEO

Over 25 not-for-profit organizations offering services in our community attended Kaspar Media’s Third Annual Points of Light Volunteer Fair Tuesday afternoon at the 51 West Event Center in downtown Frankfort.




Organizations attending included Abilities Services, American Red Cross, Clinton County Boys and Girls Club, Clinton County Family YMCA, Clinton County Foundation for Youth/Camp Cullom, Clinton County Habitat for Humanity, COACH Kids of Clinton County, Food Finders Food Bank. Frankfort Community Public Library, Frankfort Fire Department, Frankfort Lions Club, Frankfort Parks Department, Frankfort’s Unified Neighborhoods, Healthy Community of Clinton County, Humane Society of Clinton County, Open Door Health Clinic, Optimist Club, Paul Phillippe Resource Center, Purdue Extension of Clinton County, Quinton’s House Child Advocacy Center, Salvation Army, The ARC of Clinton County, The Crossing Education Center, The Learning Network of Clinton County and Wabash Valley Astronomical Society.

Another group that came participated was the Democratic Party of Clinton County.

“It’s really nice,” said Frankfort City Councilman Joe Palmer, who was manning the booth. “We’re meeting a lot of people  and we’re trying to register people to vote. We’re just having a good old time.”

Corporate sponsors for this event is Center Township Trustee and Encompass Credit Union. The two pillar sponsors are Jerry’s Body Shop and Wampler Services.

Door prizes were given away to attendees throughout the day. A random drawing was held for a one night for two at the French Lick Resort, a $500 prize and for a $250 prize for two participating non-profits to use as the non-profit sees fit.[huge_it_videogallery id=”2″]
