Police Gets Grant to Enhance Drug Surveillance and Investigations

A $7,309 Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) 2020 Edward Byrne JAG grant will help enhance drug surveillance and investigations that will strengthen criminal cases and prosecutions.

According to Chief Troy Bacon, “The grant funding will be used to purchase covert drug surveillance and investigation technology to strengthen criminal drug cases and increase officer safety for our narcotics investigation team. The equipment will replace or supplement existing equipment”.

Awarded through the ICJI, the grant is funded by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Program.
