Positive Behavior Intervention And Supports Celebration At Green Meadows Elementary

Story By Tara Woods

Today at Green Meadows was PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) celebration. All those kids who have behaved well through the second nine weeks of school were able to choose from a list of activities to celebrate their good choices.
There were many different stations. Some included cookie decorating, puzzles, technology, how the brain works, baseball, origami, basketball, crocheting.
Tara Woods ran the CrossFit for kids station. Approximately 70 kids done kids CrossFit today.

The following were given five different stations that managed by high school and college students. Cameron Williams a junior at FHS ran a box and jump and box dip station. Caleb Henry a junior at FHS ran a kettle bell and wall ball station. Casey Henry a senior at FHS ran the rower and wall sit station. Jayce Moore a senior at FHS ran the bodyweight movements station. Madi Woods and Clay Biesecker, my college kids ran the barbell movements stations. Mallory Woods a junior at FHS was a floater, she helped students at every station.
“I couldn’t be more proud or of these high school and college students” commented Tara woods, They were absolutely wonderful with our elementary students.I had a few of the high school students tell me if we ever do this again to give them a call, that they had a great time. I also had many elementary students ask if we can please continue this, they enjoyed themselves and got a great workout at the same time. Fun was had by all.
Eric Woods was the camera man plus he also hauled all the equipment and was DJ for the event. Tom Potts,FHS PE teacher loaned us the rowers and Crossfit 180 in Lebanon, April Gardner loaned us all the kids CrossFit equipment. When they say it takes a village, that’s a major understatement.
