This is a play like no other play you have experienced. The Clinton County Civic Theatre (CCCT) is thrilled to present Rick Abbot’s hysterical play, “Play, On!” directed by the talented Carol Price.
From October 9 to 12th, audiences will be behind the scenes as the local theatre group tries desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from the haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act 1 is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal and the final act is the actual performance, in which anything that can go wrong, does. When the author decides to give a speech on the state of the modern theatre during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to a madcap climax and a thoroughly hilarious romp. Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter.
“Play, On!” promises an evening of laughter and pure entertainment. With a stellar cast including Andrea Krep, Jason Kelly, Ellen Osborne, Maddox Stewart Stephanie Lynch, Ryan Richards, Chelsea Boling, Abrianna Crist, Griffin Hundley, and Jackae Johnson and the creative vision of director Carol Price and assistant director Chris Lesley, this production is set to be a highlight of the season.
