Frankfort Police will partner with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office to host a prescription drug take back event Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. near Clinton Hall at the south end of the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
According to Sheriff Jeff Ward, all prescription drugs will be accepted in all types of packages. No liquids, needles, syringes or IV fluids will be accepted.
“This event is a great opportunity to help us keep unused, unwanted prescription drugs out of the wrong hands and disposed of safely and properly. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this beneficial event,” Ward said.
According to Police Chief Troy Bacon, the event is free to the public. “Hosting a drug take back event is a responsible and worry-free way for people to dispose of their unneeded prescription medications. We are honored to partner with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office on this important initiative.”
The local take back event coincides with National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
