Projected Daily Peak In COVID-19 Deaths In Indiana Estimated To Be On April 20

Indiana’s projected peak in daily deaths due to COVID-19 is estimated to be on Monday April 20th.  This projection is estimated by covid19.healthdata.org. The projection estimates 35 Indiana COVID 19 deaths on that date and daily deaths diminishing from that date forward.

Note the graphs have shaded “error bars” and these are only projections which make assumptions on how well Indiana is coping with the virus at this time.

The site also predicts a maximum resource use in Indiana to be on April 19th, requiring 3485 beds of 8485 beds available.

According to the covid19.healthdata.org site, total deaths in Indiana due to the virus are stabilized by the end of May. (See graph below)

It is critical that Hoosiers continue to practice distance, hand washing and other practices as issued by local, state and national authorities.
