Purdue Veterinary Teaching Hospital Tops Survey

Inside INdiana Business is reporting that a survey ranks the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinarian Teaching Hospital number one in North America. The most recent CalPro Research Referring Veterinarian Survey included 26 hospitals. Purdue is only the second college to have received the “Overall Hospital Rating” designation.

The national survey evaluates on the basis of referring veterinarian feedback in categories like responsiveness, communication, client and patient experience and quality of medicine. Hospital Director Dr. Duncan Hockley says the results are a reflection of the effort of faculty and staff. “I am proud of our veterinarians, veterinary technicians and supporting staff who work tirelessly to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients,” he said. “We are pleased that our referring veterinarians appreciate our work.”

The annual study has been conducted since 2012, with over 11,000 veterinarians providing feedback.
