Raul Perez, Sr., 92, of Frankfort, formerly of Granbury, TX, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on December 24, 1926 in Mexico City, Mexico to Jose Refugio and Maria Dolores Perez. Raul had several jobs over the years, which included working on the railroad, at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, and an owner of several flea markets. He loved being a salesman and talking with people. He had a heart for helping people in need and enjoyed living life one day at a time and being around his family.
Raul, Sr., is survived by his children, Raul (Tomacita) Perez, Jr. of Frankfort, Patricia (Margarito) Pena of Morgan, TX; Elena (Armando) Reyes of Granbury, TX; twelve grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Imelda (Perez) Perez; his parents, seven siblings and one grandchild.
Funeral Mass will be held 6pm, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort. Father Chris Miller will officiate. Arrangements are with Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
