Reading Days With the Clinton County Family Literacy Program

Colleen McKensie reads to Mrs, Weidner third grade class.

The Clinton County Family Literacy Program and Green Meadows are collaborating to host Community Reading Days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, December 12, 13, and 14 at Green Meadows Elementary School.

Literacy Program representatives and community volunteers will visit 17 classrooms from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Volunteers will share their own favorite Christmas stories and personal stories of reading in their everyday lives and careers. The goal of the “Community Reading Day” is to show the importance of reading skills throughout our entire lives.

The Clinton County Family Literacy program is a United Way agency, funded by United Way with the support of the Frankfort Community Public Library and donations.
