Reba V. Evans, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at her home in Thorntown surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 11, 1945, in Thorntown, the daughter of the late Fay Harold Ford, Sr. and Laurel Maggie (Smith) Ford.
She was united in marriage on May 9, 1981, to Leslie L. Evans, in Thorntown; he survives.
Having been a life-resident of Thorntown, Reba was a Thorntown High School graduate.
Church and family were Reba’s world. She was a faithful member of GAP Community Church, and she was a dedicated homemaker. Reba loved taking care of her family and home.
Survivors include her husband, Leslie Evans of Thorntown; two children, Laura Maggie (Charles) Lynch of Springfield, Missouri and Nathan L. Evans of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren; Rachel K. Evans, Noah L. Evans, and Charles D. Lynch, III; brother, Rev. Royce (Grace) Ford; sisters, Willa (Rev. Ronald) Wallace, and Pat (Marvin) Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Ford, Jean (Donald) Moore, Dessie (Bobby Jo) Fisher, Francis Ford, Bud Ford, John Ford, and Glenda VanDerklok.
Memorial Services are planned for 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street, in Thorntown, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
