Red Barn Announces Opening Nights

On-Stage Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that all three OPENING NIGHTS for this summer will be extra-special due to contributions from GOODWIN’S FUNERAL HOME and ARCHER-WESTON FUNERAL HOME.

Performing prior to Opening Night of SEE HOW THEY RUN will be the popular duo from Indianapolis DAD JEANS. DAD JEANS, otherwise known as Joe Doyel and Joshua Bucy, bill themselves as “Indy’s premiere 80’s light rock acoustic duo.” A blend of humor and nostalgia, these excellent musicians have entertained “first-nighters” for the past two years and will once again be back to entertain on the lawn.

An hour before BOEING BOEING premieres, Gem CITY DRIFTERS will be performing out on the lawn. Guitarist-vocalist JER LYLE and violinist-vocalist KATIE KERCHEVAL (a Red Barn alumnus), will bring some beautiful and haunting Americana vibes to the second Red Barn opening.

The musical this year is CURTAINS! A MUSICAL COMEDY WHODUNIT and we couldn’t think of a more entertaining opening night performer than JEFFREY BOWEN. An arranger, music director, recording artist and entertainer from Indianapolis, Jeffrey’s piano skills, ability to sing (almost) any request and warm personality make him an amusing, exciting opening act for the musical’s premiere.

In addition to bringing in these musical performers, Goodwin’s and Archer-Weston will be providing souvenir show-themed cookies by Gina Vansickle and milk (or cold water for the lactose-intolerant!) to every patron for their ride home.

The Cellar will be open for business on each Opening Night, featuring beer, “Barn Box” snacks and a wonderful selection of wines from our partners at Blackhawk Winery of Sheridan.

Every evening is entertaining when you’re at the Red Barn Summer Theatre, but thanks to our wonderful sponsors, OPENING NIGHTS are even more special. Tickets for Opening Nights, as well as all performances, are available on-line at redbarntheatre.net or through the box office (opening June 1) by calling 765-659-1657 after 5pm.
