Red Barn Summer Theatre Announces 50th Anniversary Season

The Red Barn Summer Theatre announced today the 50th Anniversary Season will begin with a gala celebration on June 1, 2018 with the performances of the three-show season opening on June 13.

The gala event, 50th and Forward, will be held at Arborwood, 100 North Park Dr. in Frankfort beginning at 5:30. The evening will include a reception including drinks and heavy hors d’eouvres and a program featuring past company members whom have gone on to successful careers in theater and the performing arts. The popular Davis and Devitt will provide entertainment.

The 50th Anniversary of the Red Barn Summer Theatre will include the following popular Broadway productions:

No Sex Please, We’re British   the popular, laugh-filled British farce opening June 13

Lost in Yonkers                       Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play opening June 27

­Tarzan, the Musical                 an unforgettable theatrical experience based on the Disney film

by the legendary Phil Collins & David H. Hwang opening July 12

Michael Taylor, Artistic Director, in announcing the season, said, “We are excited to bring these amazing productions to our north central Indiana audiences. Each show has been selected with the objective of giving our audiences an enjoyable experience on a beautiful Indiana evening at the Red Barn. This season’s company, made up of professional actors and aspiring young artists, will come together on June 4th for their first rehearsal.

The Red Barn Summer Theatre is one of only three independent professional summer theaters remaining in Indiana and provides college theater graduates and students a professional opportunity to hone their craft in an intense theater production environment.
