The Red Barn Summer Theatre Monday announced the details of their second annual Family Night, which will be held Tuesday, July 16. For this special performance of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, a child or young adult ticket (ages 4 thru 18) will be free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
The performance of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum—Broadway’s greatest musical farce–will start at 5:30 p.m.–a much earlier time than usual.
In addition pre-show entertainment and fun on the lawn will begin at 4:30 p.m. Local musician Gibson Wells will be performing and free pizza, chips and soft drinks will be served.
At intermission, while free ice-cream treats are distributed, there will be prize drawings for free Red Barn t-shirts and a pair of season tickets for the 2020 season.
After the performance the actors will be available to meet the parents and children out on the lawn for photographs.
Rex Camp, Chief Administrative Officer of the On-Stage Foundation, says that “Family Night is yet another way the Barn is striving to make theatre affordable for families and inclusive of young people. Last year was a big success so be sure to call the ticket office at 765-659-1657 to reserve seats in advance”
Family Night is made possible by the generous support of Greek’s Pizzeria, Genda Funeral Home, Miller’s Body Shop, Thorntown Veterinary Clinic, Moxie Mavens, CVS Pharmacy, Wal-Mart, Coco Beans/Hawaiian Shave Ice, Cherri Flora, Stitching By Sam, Glover’s Ice Cream, Frankfort Community Public Library, Heather’s Flowers, Frito-Lay, Coach Kid’s and the Indiana Arts Commission through the Regional Partnership Program administered by the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.
