The Red Barn Summer Theatre has announced its upcoming Barnstormers dates to spruce up the area in preparation for its 56th summer season.

Red Barn has requested community members to join the Red Barn team on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside, Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside and Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Red Barn for the Barnstormer Days.

Volunteers will join Andi Slipher and Carol Coffman during the Barnstormer Days to uphold the reputation of the Red Barn as it heads into the 2024 summer season.

“We frequently get compliments on how beautiful and welcoming the grounds of the Barn are, and we always give credit to our talented, energetic and finicky landscaper extraordinaire, Andi Slipher, and her hardworking, personal assistant Carol Coffman,” the Barn released. “But these two great volunteer can’t do it alone, so we’re asking our friends and neighbors to stop by the Barn and assist Andi and Carol for a couple hours.”

The first two Barnstormer Days will consist of outside landscaping work, such as raking, picking up sticks, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers and more. During the last day, volunteers will be tasked with sprucing up the interior of the Barn, such as sweeping, cleaning chairs, dusting and more.

Registration is not required to attend the Barnstormer Days, and volunteers are welcome to stay as long as they wish during the timeframes set. Coffee and donuts will be available for those who attend.

Additionally, the Barn announced that the Red Barn Cellar will feature three wines this summer from Hopwood Cellars Winery alongside a unique fourth wine that will change with each show to reflect the themes.

The 2024 Summer Season shows will consist of unique shows, including the kick-off show written by Frankfort local Michael Clossin.
